2nd time trying. A solid 2nd label -- although as with most things Bdx, you do pay a price for the label. Vs. typical Bdx, it has more blue fruit flavors and softer tannins. Decent finish. 88 pts.

Knew it was a 2nd label, and not a classical Pauillac beforehand. Medium-bodied merlot-led blend. Medium to medium minus nose, palate. Some red fruit notes of cherry and raspberry, complemented with light tobacco leaf, earth, spice, and leather. Decent medium finish. Started out tasting reduced but greatly benefited from decanting; and just got better in the glass over dinner. For S$60 "Pauillac", I'm ok to keep a few bottles in stock for variety; as an easy-going mid-priced, medium bodied Bdx.

A perfectly typical and enjoyable BDX, but within the context of Pauillac this falls well short of expectations. Aromatically the wine shows plenty of allure, however, the palate doesn't persist through the mid or finish. Drinks more like a nice AOC BDX.

Cassis, plums, cocoapowder. Full bodied, mellow and nicely balanced. Nice warmth and smooth texture. The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like black currant (cassis), plum and light toast.

2019 Hennepin Lake Charity Event (Minneapolis, MN): Very young and has potential. Cassis, gravel, cigar and earth. Medium plus finish. Pretty intense wine. Best from 2022 to 2028. 88 to 91.
