1 hour slow ox. Nose: Beautiful aromas of fresh roses, black tea and some tree moss with slate minerals. Palate: Still nice acid levels with Bing cherries and perfect balance of acids to fruit. This could go longer but why wait? It is ideal now IMHO. Last and best bottle of this. Now 92+ points.
Bright red and black cherry fruit backed by underbrush, drying-quenching juiciness and some gunflint. Med+ tannin and med+ acid. As others have noted, 12.8% Alc, but this bantam-weight is full of flavor and complexity to give any wine-lover pause. Good stuff.

Very Good, but ultimately disappointing. Maybe I didn't give it enough air, but I tried to coax something more from it than it was giving. It was a solid, fairly ripe Pinot, clearly of high quality, but never engaging or nuanced.
12.8% abv, which is surprising, I'd have guessed upper-13s given the texture and fruit.
Next bottle in a few years?

Vibrant, translucent red color. Pleasant earthy, strawberry nose. Vibrant fruit on the palate, strawberry is prominent but also cherries, and moist earth. Fine tannins, lovely acidity, great balance. Finishes long and graceful, dusty cherries. Lovely minerality across the palate. Beautiful wine, subtle and elegant. Will improve for another 4 to 5 years and drink well for 10. From vines averaging 42 years of age in Maresh and Weber Vineyards. Even better, only 12.8% ABV.
