This was a pleasant Monday night surprise. Rustic yet put together wine with gravel and ripe red fruit (cranberry perhaps) on the nose with a whiff of green pepper. In the mouth, it’s engaging. Bright acidity start to finish, tannins are less so. Powdered marble captured with tart cranberry. It’s like a rustic Beaujolais but bigger, with more depth and power. I am looking forward to trying it 24 hours from now - all I did was run through a Venturi into a decanter and left it only about 20 minutes. Last glass nearly 3 hours later and it seems tighter and more tannic. A wine to get your attention at a reasonable price.

Enjoyed over two nights. First night this was still a bit tight, but on the second night really started to open up. Give it a 1-2 decant. Nice QPR.

This has showed better on earlier occasions. Still good, but a bit muddled across the tongue now. Predominately earthy at this point.
