Three hour double decant. Deep dark magenta color. Blackberry, cassis, sugar cookie, sage, and graphite. Very smooth, dry, full bodied palate. Plush tannins on the longish finish.
This is my first ever Brand and I was impressed. It was a somewhat taut due to lack of air, but somehow voluptuous at the same time.
JSMorris707 was kind enough to bring this over to Mark1NPT’s place. Mark’s son, HowellMountanCru (HMC), and several of our lady friends made it a terrific night of wine and banter.

Brought to tonight's event by jsmorris and I totally agree with his notes on this bottle. A very well made cab that feels like it's craving for another 5 years in bottle to finish softening and filling out. It's pretty good now but I agree it'll improve more with additional time. I've not had this one before Joel, so thanks for bringing!

Double decanted for 3 hrs, deep ruby, dark fruit, med/firm tannins, long finish; outstanding, but still young, drink or preferably hold. IMHO, the better 16s are great, but have not yet reached their peak (that should last for years)

If you're looking for a fruit bomb, this is not your wine. But if you appreciate a balanced, dry wine with an incredible finish, this is it. This reminds me of why I enjoy wine in the first place. Wow. Brought this in to Ruth's Chris for beef! Pritchard Hill is the best!

H2H 2016 Brand Cabernet vs 2017 (I know right) La Pelle Reserve. La Pelle Reserve (2017 WTF) won hands down and it’s 2017.
The 2016 Brand is built with all the stuffings but it is in a state of disorder. This needs a couple more years before it comes together.
