3 1/2 hour decant (mag decanter). Nose: Complex aromas of blackberries, blueberries, earth and graphite. Palate: Spice, alc heat and blackberries early on but after a little time in the fridge the alcohol heat was mitigated and the blueberries come out more. This is a big boy and if you open now give at least 2 hours of decant time. Alc is only 14.6% but it comes off as higher so in addition to the decant I suggest giving it a bit of chill. Solid Cab if you are willing to invest in proper service preparation.

This took every bit of two hours to open up. Blue and black fruits within a medium body framework. Integrated tannins, hints of chocolate. An easy drinker. This does not possess the density of the flagship Jones, but represents good value for the money. I would give a slight nod to Caterwaul, in terms of an entry TRB cab Thanks to AG for putting this on my radar

Two hour decant. Very deep dark magenta. Milk chocolate, boysenberry, blackberry, caramel, and cola on the nose. Smooth, dry palate, with good acidity. Firm, full tannins on the longish finish.

Really smooth, velvety cab with refined tannins. Ripe blackberries, some cedar, forest floor.

Listen to the others’ advice to decant. I didn’t, pnp…wish I had done a decant.
