Tricky to rate this one. On one hand it was disappointing for a champagne and a brut rosé as it wasn’t giving anything clear to the senses. Was looking for some yeasty/toasty/creamy notes or some hints of red fruit but got mainly apple and citrus which wasn’t exciting.
On the other hand this one was really pleasant to drink still. The color was beautiful, it was a great wine for my pinot tasting as it checked the bubbly and rosé boxes. And it paired great with crackers or something buttery if you can stand the richness of it all. And for $35 I’m not sure if you’d be better off looking elsewhere or not.

Served from magnum. Lovely mouthfeel, a hint of strawberry, not painfully acidic - don't know whether this undergoes malo but worryingly easy to drink.

Made from 100% Pinot Noir from Verzenay, dosage 8.5 gr/l. Pale salmon colour, red cherry and red apple on the nose, impressive steely freshness and minerally energy on the palate, creamy strawberries, hint of spice, dry but supple; good resonance and length. Lovely. At restaurant Branie, Amsterdam, NL.

Christmas Day Wines: From magnum - our Christmas morning wine. Carefully opened following the loss of several glasses worth last time. Jolly nice - good acidity, some roundness in the mouth, a sherbet character, and perhaps a little strawberry. Definitely a solid start to things.

Really good. Wild strawberry notes, balanced acidity, medium length. Leaves you going back for more
