Lunch at Les Amis (Les Amis, Shaw House, Singapore): By the half bottle at Les Amis, this was a very decent, food-friendly wine. There was a hint of ripeness in its plump white fruited nose, with tropical shades coming in at the sides, but these were underpinned by more classic Chablis aromas of chalk and just that hint of stony mineral. I should add that there was quite a bit of sulphur at first, but this blew off with time. The palate had a nice round ripeness in the attack, much like the nose suggested, with red apples lined with a burst of sweet, ripe lemons. It leaned up quite nicely on the midpalate though, with a spine of acidity and nice licks of spice and mineral leading into a mid-lengthed finish with a touch of salted butter to it. Nothing special, but a good, certainly well-crafted Chablis 1er Cru.

Apple, citrus and wax notes most prominent. Bright core of acidity. Little in the way of oyster shell/mineral/ saline. Paired with white fish and purchased from a LWS out of town.

Purchased almost 5 years ago. Still lively and fresh. Balanced with good structure. Drinking well at this moment but could further improve

Winebow / Vintage Burgundy Tasting (ella - Chicago IL): Tasting, brief note. Ripe apple throughout with mineral notes coming through on its finish. Good length, good to enjoy now.
