  A very good version of a modern approach to traditional Riojan wine making.
  
  WSET style tasting note:
  Clear, medium, ruby
  Clean, medium (+) intensity nose of strawberry, plum, blackberry, all spice, chocolate and toast.
  Dry, medium acidity, medium drying and gripping tannins, high alcohol (14.5%), medium (+) bodied, medium flavour intensity, strawberry, plum, blackberries, all spice, chocolate and toast, with a medium length.
  This is a very good wine, with an excellent complex and balanced nose and palate of primary and secondary characteristics. There is sufficient acid to support aging and I have no doubt the tannins will soften from here. The wine has a good level and intensity and medium length, though this not that required for a higher rating.
