Mostly consistent with previous bottle. Seemed slightly less expressive on the palate at first but opened up after about 45 minutes of air. Delicious bottle of red fruited sparkling rose.

Pop and pour. In the glass, clear pink-tinged light copper, with medium bubbles. On the nose, strawberries, lemon, and thyme - the color hinted at oxidative notes, but the aromatics remain quite youthful. On the palate, a core of berries and tropical fruit rides a crisp, clean, medium-bodied champagne, with a bit of rosé tang on the finish. A fun, engaging wine.

This was simply awesome. I've been buying Ultramarine for a bit now (think 2011 was my first vintage), but this is the first rose that I've opened (prefer my sparklers with at least a bit of age), and I'm pretty blown away. Beautiful citrus, strawberry, peach, and a bit of bread on the finish. Ultramarine just hits the perfect sweet spot for me between fruit and acid, and I absolutley love em. And look at that color!! This sits up top with the BdB for me.....with the BdN firmly in last place. Just great wine that is drinking incredibly well right now

disgorged November 13, 2018 - a little salty plum on the palate. It's nice and easy to drink, but I felt it was a little too simple.
