Dark ruby hue. Aromas of blackberry, cherry, chocolate, pepper, plum, raspberry, strawberry, tar, and vanilla. Medium-bodied, with rich, rounded tannins and medium-plus acidity. Smooth, luscious palate of ripe black fruit with a finish of minerals and oak. Drinking very well now. Blend of Syrah (25%), Grenache (25%), Mourvedre (25%), Zinfandel (15%), and Tempranillo (10%).

Disappointed considering the experience of the winemaking team. Big oaky fruit forward blend with little in the way of varietal distinction even after being consumed over two days.
You could do a lot worse for a backyard barbecue but I would take a $20 Rhône wine over this every day.

After a 2011 Wellington Sonoma Cab this tasted like Concord grape juice. Thick and fruity without a whole lot more going on.

Deep garnet, touch our menthol on the nose, soft somewhat muted fruit. Rather non distinct but a tasty bottle of wine
