Really nice Spanish Grenache that is drinking really well right now. Typically more robust than the French version. Nice black fruit, full mid palate and soft tannins in the finish.

Still quite lovely and complex for a '16. Dark purple lightening to a garnet at the rim. Nose dark fruit, mineral. Palate has blackberry and raspberry. Wet stone and slight vegetal finish.

Tonight Alto Moncayo's little brother, Veraton 2016. Garnacha in its finest expression. Fine acidity, the wine needs 1-2 hours before the fruit blooms, dark chocolate and cigar, there is a lightness in Veraton compared to its big brother Grande, but still nice power. Drink or hold.

Blueberries, tobacco, vanilla and milk chocolate. Long finish with nice acidity. Generous fruit but not jammy or alcoholic. Incredibly well balanced considering the 15,5%. Very very good.
