  • Popped and poured, and stupidly drank most of it about 5 degrees Celsius too cold. This note is from the last dregs of the bottle.

Wine is a turbid crimson. My last dregs included some sediment.

On nose, wine has some beautiful cherry, raspberry, and baking spice notes. Along with a little anise.

On palate, wine is sound, and it should be given I already drank most of it. Balanced acid, softening tannins, dry, and reflects nose perfectly. Touch of bay leaf and menthol.

This is a fantastic wine. I have another bottle of it in long-term storage so it probably won’t get cracked for years. If you have this, feel free to drink now but let it get to temperature!

  • Nice and sharp / acidic. Does well with food. Decanted 30 minutes

  • Popped 2 days ago. In the fridge overnight each night since. This btl has improved each day. Just a lovely example of OR PN. On the nose (now): wild strawberry, mint, balsam, aloe, a hint of cola. On the palate: lovely acidity and density, hi-toned red fruit, with a touch of herbs and a soft medicinal note. Soft, and elegant tannin on the finish, which becomes a bit more assertive on the close. Very good. Sad this is my last btl!

  • Not as expressive as the last bottle. Seems very tight, even on night 2-3. Berry driven fruit, with a bit of raspberry. Palate was very tight, acidic, and narrow--but vibrant and energetic. Finishes with a chalky cut. Now that the vibrant fruit has faded a bit this is showing more of it's structure. Needs some time to pull the acidity back into balance. revisit in 3-5yrs. Strong bones here.

  • This wine was awesome last night. Soaring aromatics, great poise and polish. Distinct earth and spice element showing terroir and fantastic pure vibrant fruit. Has all the stuffing to age but guessing mine wonky make it long.
