Surprised by the light rose-red hue. Ripe strawberry, rhubarb on nose. On palette, it offers more depth and spice than the color indicates. I agree with the "energetic" notes as mentioned by others. I enjoy this wine more after it's opened in the glass for about 10-15 minutes.

starts out a little stinky but then the reduction blows off and this is just good old fashioned cherry fruit with earthy background. delish for everynight drinker

They are not in the VDP but if they were to be this would be the Gutswein Pinot Noir. Spicy fruit on the nose in that cool climate German Pinot way. Good tension on the palate.
