But on the second night after being vacuumed and recorked it was tremendously transformed. Starting to show some of the expected character of a quality Napa cab.
  
  I think this wine needs at least a couple more years before I will open anther. Just a heads up for anyone else who is thinking about poping a cork.

  Decanted for 2 hours. Super smooth tannins with rich berry notes up front. Soft tobacco and herb notes on the finish with alcohol in check. Glad I held this for a few years

  Third bottle out of a half case I purchased in 2019. This is coming along but still needs another year or two to round out. Lovely black, juicy fruit with acidity to brace and some damp earth notes. This will probably be a 93 or 94 when it's fully ready, but this bottle still has some forward tannins that need to mellow. Good potential for the price.

  Nice floral aromas from the glass. The tannins are smooth and rounded offering some grip and structure around a core of dark fruit. This has great acidity that is boht wet and juicy around the tongue. There's flavors of blackberry and cassis with a hint of dark chocolate on the medium++ finish - a surprising long finish - leaving you wanting more. Midweek, or, on the weekend, this is a PnP wine with a great QPR worth trying.
