  • Brought to Italian Cucina in New Hope (PA), great BYO spot. PnP, drank over an hour. No notes from prior bottles

medium ruby color, clear. Nose of red berries and earth. Candied red fruits, black plum, mineral notes. Medium weight and texture, tannins lighter than lats bottle (from memory). Medium finish

Seemed thin and a bit at the open, showed better after about 20 minutes. Would give this some air if venue allows. OK to cellar for a while, still youthful and fresh. May improve a bit with some age. Nice bottle

  • Very pretty wine. Light, translucent and delicate, but with enough weight and intensity to go with a seared sea bass sitting in a smokey dashi. Cherry, strawberry and roses on the palate. Very lifted and floral nose. I was pleasantly surprised by this wine. Not a big, crowd pleasing wine, but those who appreciate intricate, delicate and complex wines will get this wine.

  • Med ruby. Clean, med+ red cherry, candied strawberry, black plum, spicy whole cluster influence, cigar box and sweet baking spices from partial new French oak. Dry, but with plenty of bright, ripe fruit. The acidity, tannins and alcohol (13.2%) are medium. Overall, medium bodied, with a med+ long, pleasantly spicy and earthy finish. Fine by itself or with food. It is not likely to improve with further aging but should hold its own for several more years.

  • Retail $65. Another wine that was part of my Annual Blind Tasting of American Pinot Noir, it seems to have softened just a bit since last time this year. The flinty, slate aspect still remains on both the nose and the palate, but the rich cherry fruit is much more prevalent. This Pinot also has great weight and balance, both hallmarks of Ehren Jordan's deft hand. As is the high degree of tartness and the soft, subtle tannins. This should continue to mature over the next handful of years. Excellent. thedrunkencyclist.com
