Medium-bodied juicy red. Red fruited - strawberry jam, cherry, raspberry and some kind of Indian spices - cardamon. Pleasant acidity, tastes spicy, and offers a little stalky grip on a clean finish.

Bit of an odd wine. Very light in colour compared to much older Ahr wine next to it. Nose starts off with some very bright cherries and other fruit, but turns to almost sauerkraut and rhubarb at some point. Maybe some strawberry jam. Not sure this is stemminess or use of wholecluster, but not sure it works. After an hour the nose settles down to more nondescript Pinot. Almost Gamay. On the palate it is fresh and structured, albeit a tad bitter. All in all, not exactly a fan.

Sweet, spicy nose of raspberry and cardamom, with background notes of forest floor, oak, and campfire smoke. Tight palate, with flavours of oak, then spice (caraway), then fruit (raspberry).

Pale ruby in the glass. Very rich red fruit proile on the nose with some oriental/Indian spices and a hint of herbal touch. Whiffs of flint. High acidity, medium depth and grip, well-balanced. Great use of oak, giving the wine a pleasant creamy texture. Definitely an open Pinot, pinpointing a taster to New World straight away. Tasted blind, guessed NZ Pinot.

2 weeks in Australia with a stopover in Singapore; 6/14/2019-7/1/2019 (Singapore, Sydney, Adelaide, McLaren Vale, Barossa Valley, Adelaide Hills): Tasted at the winery. Color is a slightly cloudy ruby. Nose of cherry fruit. On the palate this is much more fruitier than the '12 tasted alongside - but still delicate. Fruit is a bit too sweet for my preference though.
