Early on this showed fairly tough, with medicinal herbs, earth, and a bit of unripe blackberry fruit. By the 2nd day it was shining with red plums and black cherry, menthol, a touch of smoke. Surprising how much decanting this needed, but turned out as good as it always is.
Last bottle, well improved for this year. Medium body, deep ruby colour, 14% abv. Intense but still very delicate and complex aroma of black and blue fruits, leather, tobacco and toasted oak. Black cherry and prune palate, resolved tannins and juicy acidity following by long, rounding finish. Rich and complex but well balanced and harmonies wine. Food friendly, well pairing to Parmigiano Reggiano. Serve 18ºC - 20ºC. Still requires aeration, open two hours ahead. Drink now and the next decade, perhaps longer

Still really good at age 7. Remains fresh but not as lively and engaging as it was 3-4 years ago. Still, I see it can be found at around $25. Bargain price.

Perfekt balanse mellom frisk frukt og modningsaroma.
