Very good. First Pinot from this region of SA so no comparison point for the appellation for me but this is well balanced, has great acid, fairly long on the finish. Similar to a quality Sonoma coast Pinot that would cost around 40-50 USD. Developed nicely over about an hour in the glass. Will be seeking out more Walker Bay Pinots which can be hard to find in the US.

Beautifully balanced, New World Pinot. Rich, red fruits underscored by herbs like eucalyptus and finishes soft with cloves and hint of vanilla. The acid lifts this wine and makes it significantly drinkable for a wine with such richness.

Well made by Hamilton Russell. Crisp bright red fruits, but the acidity is too high for me. This will soften with time but the weight of fruit will not cover the acidity. 13% alcohol. Medium body at best, though the alcohol props it up. medium finish, fairly simple. Drink now if you like this style and don't think it will last longer than 5 years.

Tasty South African Pinot. Lifted aromatics and balanced. Sweet raspberry, cherry blossoms, thyme.

Excellent, every bit the Pinot made under the Hamilton Russell label. Burgundian. Balanced. Class all the way down.
