2017 Fairchild Wines: Last year of the GIII for Fairchild, and this is a nice effort given the challenges of the vintage. Definitely a bit leaner and more linear than previous offerings, but the quality still shows. Blackcurrant, blueberries, herbs and fragrant earth on the nose. Medium to full bodied, this is way more savory than most GIII wines I've had. Restrained blue fruit is complemented by rustic, earthy and mineral driven flavors. Nice acidity and lift.
