Decanted & enjoyed over 8 hours, last glass best was the best glass accompanied by a prime rib roast. Dark purpled colored, dark berry aromas & flavors. Intense wine with a tannic backbone & long finish. With lots a air rough edges faded. HOLD.

Had several 2017s from Napa open. Very little time to breathe before we dove in.
This wine was packing deep, dark fruit; was a little on the tight side as compared to the 2017 Maybach and the Realm Dr Crane. Seems to have shut down a little as compared to our tasting several months ago. Probably good to keep in cellar for a bit.

Pott Wine dinner (Knife - Dallas): My favorite of the night. My wife's too. Paired with the ribeye, pommes puree and shaved black truffle. This was a star with dark purple fruit and explosive aromas. I think this can drink in the near term and also cellar (better than most 2017s in all likelihood).
