  • Johnny brought into Olio.
Fantastic. Rich cassis, smoke, earth, tons of spice.
Definitely has that SQNesque quality. Creamy, rich mouth feel.
Long finish. Awesome. Still tons of life ahead.

  • Dark purple color, nearly opaque. Decanted and consumed over ~3 hours. Aromas blend blueberry, kirsch, and blackberry with some balsalm and allspice. Palate has boysenberry, creosote, and a grape that eventually starts to show more plum and currant character with air. The finish is medium. The alcohol pokes out but this works with food to complement it. Drink or hold.

  • Decanted for four hours. Brambleberries, Hope chest, caramelized shallots, righteous mineral and lavender. The palate is full, viscous and agile; the tannins are of cotton and exhibit a lot of texture. The finish is legendary, and I am being very conservative here, as this is still primal. NoK has become one of the most epic labels from California. Truth be told, this is actually very closed and needs years of aging. The ‘17 is pure perfection; and this is quite a massive bugger, and will age exceptionally well. Drink 2025 - .
