  • Left it open for 10 hours before consumption. Brick red ruby colour. The nose shows ripe red fruit, camphor, vanilla and prominent oak flavours which are not very appealing and rather unexpected. The mouth feeling is much better with prominent tannins and acidity and an overall balanced feeling. A very easy drinking wine but underachieving considering the stellar vintage.

  • I agree with the previous note. Fairly tight, it takes a couple of days to fully open up. Red garnet with already some brick on the rim. Quite inexpressive on the nose on the first day. Then some pepper, and a tiny tiny bit of violets. Very restrained also on the palate. Grippy tannins bright acidity, that on the second day become very sweet. Orange rind and some balsamic. Overall very balanced, mid-weight barbaresco that will not gain much in complexity but it will become very pleasant. It probably needs another 2-5 years in order to offer more.
