Tasted blind, but was informed it was from Washington State. The dark color carries through on the rich, weighty palate that shows concentrated berry fruit, black currant, tobacco, violets, spice, and crushed stone. The finish really sticks with you. Incorrectly identified as a Cab Sauvignon, maybe even the Quilceda Creek CVR as it has a similar profile.

Good, not great. Sweet for franc. Enjoyed with good cigar. Nicely balanced and drinkable right out of the bottle with no decant. Simple wine for those who don’t want big tannic wines. Good value.
