A little bit of metallic taste blew off and this rounded out with orange blossoms and slightly toasty notes on a frame of lemon curd and stone fruit. Nice wine.

The 1997 Meursault entices with a rich bouquet of freshly baked buttermilk biscuits, almond paste and baked pears. Weighty yet energetic, this staines the palate with masses of minerality offset by hints of butterscotch and sweet orchard fruits. Candied citrus and a tart twang of tangerine lingers under a vanillin-custard air as the 1997 tapers off with amazing length.

STARTS with beautiful color and viscosity. Incredible nose of apricots, green apple and butterscotch. So balanced, with just the right amount of acidity.

Outstanding Meursault, drinking as fresh as a 5 year old. Vibrant acidity, honeyed texture, and all the depth and minerality you could want.
