  The vintage shows here. Rich and round, with lowish acidity. Easy drinking and not very interesting, honestly. Fruity, with just a little aged, earthy character. I generally like this producer, but you never know what you are going to find with the 97 vintage.

  Compared to the others, this showed a little alcohol on the nose along with some licorice. Black fruited, almost sweet. Some earthiness and leather. Shows the vintage somewhat, but no raisiny flavors. Pretty solid and as others have said, a good wine, but my least favorite if I had to rank them tonight.

  The good are the tertriary flavors of licorice, fennel, leather, and earth. The bad was the rather short depth and medium- body. A good wine, not a great wine.
