Extremely 'hot'. Alcohol hits the nose like a strong cocktail. Perhaps extended decanting might help but what little fruit notes present dissipate too. Very disappointing.

Believe it or not, this actually was not acidic enough for me (a known acid avoider). Fruity, good tasting and rich, but almost a little flabby. Could get more complex with age, but not sure this will ever "brighten up."

sb Medium deep ruby purple Served blind, quite obviously pinot from Martinelli. Big sweet flamboyant flavors. Alcohol covered by all the sappy fruit. Fabulous if you like the style, this is not subtle

2017 Martinelli PN Moonshine ranch - lot of heat in this one on PnP, appropriate cherry notes with a hint of mint toward the end of the palate. I’d love to see this in half a decade when it’s not so hot - 15.6% for a PN woah. 92

I've liked previous vintages of Moonshine Ranch PN much more.
