Smoother and more integrated than the last bottle (see TN). Drinks very well. Didn't pay as much attention as I might have, but it seemed to all be in one package, if that makes sense.

IIRC a bit disjointed at first but then settled down into something really interesting. Medium weight, kinda cote-du-rhoneish. Still on the young side, I'd say.

A 2018 Dirty & Rowdy Horizontal (Clare's backyard): 55% Mouvedre, 45% Carignan from Rosewood vineyard. Bright candied aromas of red cherries, herbs, and blackberries. Palate had bright, candied red cherries, some pomegranate, herbs, and minerals. Excellent acids with medium+ tannins. Excellent depth with lots of structure. Nicely done. 91 on d1. About 1/4 left and put in 187 ml bottle on d2 and into fridge. On d4, aromas of plums, mildly bright candied cherries, herbs and minerals. Tart jolly rancher type blackberries, with plums and black cherries on the palate. A noticeable coconut flavor emerges on the midpalate which isn't to my liking. Still with a fair amount of structure. 89 on d4, which is pretty impressive given the wine had been open 10+ hrs on d1.

Strawberry, blueberry, rhubarb, but a deep brooding darkness not seen in a lot of D&R wines. This is truly living up to the hype, but given the acid and heavy tannins, best to put into the cellar and forget about.

Gorgeous nose, up there with the best D&R's in my memory - elegant floral tarragon juicy red framboise. Man, just so balanced and deep and interesting and (yes) gulpable. Nice acid on the finish, enough fine tannins to tell me this will go many years more, but eminently drinkable now. How many wines do all that? Legends. (55% Rosewood Old Vine Carignane and 45% Rosewood Old Vine Mourvèdre) ((Update: 1 hour in, bumped up the score a point because it is just.that.good.)
