Combination of deep, decadent, blue fruit and a little bit of "funk". Meaty notes, with an undertone of mushroom and black pepper. Unique wine that's enjoyable to drink

Too young at the moment. Blackberries and raspberries dominate this full-bodied wine, but it's bitter and unbalanced at this stage. Let this rest another year or more. Definitely has promise for the future.

This Syrah is always a great representation of what CA Syrahs can be. Dark cherry, blackberry and licorice with a nice herbal nose. Slightly acidic with aggressive tannins that open up in a decanter. The finish draws out for a good 10 seconds.

Agree with Crunge, a little unbalanced at this time. Relic makes good syrahs, so suspect this will come around with more time.
