A very playful showing - lovely balance between bright, yellow fruits and a bit of back and soil, good grip, and goes without saying the acidity keep matters fresh and proper.

Lemon, smoke (probably from lees contact rather than oak, but I don't really know for sure), with a little vanilla and a spicy finish. Good body, with a nice acid streak. I was a little surprised how "chardonnay" it tasted. Her pinots are distinctive; this was much more middle-of-the-road.

Auction purchase to get a sense for aging KF Chardonnay. Holy smokes! If representative, I'd say "very well" for this intermediate-term check-in.
Tasted on opening: Fresh citrus and apple with creamy barrel note in a supporting role. Incredible energy and balance.
No rush. It would be interesting IMO to see how this vintage performs over the next 3-10 years. I have one other bottle and doubt I'll have the restraint. Seeking more.

This has been in my upstairs wine fridge for awhile and I can't find record of when I acquired it, but very glad I did.
Very clean and steely nose on the pop and pour with traces of melon and warm wood. Develops more character as it took on air. Palate has a nice citrusy core balanced out with a little tropical fruit, perhaps a guava. Nice lingering finish. This is quite quite delicious indeed. One of the better bottles of wine I've had in weeks, if not months. And seems to have years ahead of it.

My last bottle of this. Still showing young - I wish I had a few more to track these next to the 2019 over the next five or so years. More substantive on the palate than the Vincent. There is a touch of acerbity on the finish that is mildly distracting, but I do like this as a total package.
