Amazing persistence. Juicy without being overripe, a slight bitter finish which crescendos into a crystalline conclusion which ultimately makes the wine quite delicious. Had the wine open over a few hours and the acidity became more prominent with time. Definitely some subtle elegance here though not all that complex. In a nice place though a little pricey for what you get.

I tried this alongside the Cote de Nuits Villages and I have to say I preferred almost everything about the Bourgogne.
Bachelet - in my experience - produces wines with a deft touch. And that turns out to be a benefit in 2018. This has loads of red fruit and spice. Lots of balance. No heat or jamminess that some 18s have. I’m extremely impressed with this and would surmise that there’s room for development still.

Upon opening, I get concentrated red fruit with what I feel is a dose of wood. Nice acidity and tannins coated mouth well, although not fully resolved, to formulate good length. Let it sit in the glass for 24 hours and when I revisited, I got crunchier red fruit that was high toned and more prominent acidity (I believe from the tannins rounding out). Fun to try both upon opening and with a ton of air. Maybe 24 hours was too much air but the wine definitely benefits with some.

Absolutely delicious, twangy and vibrant, dark fruit, shockingly silky texture for a Bourgogne. Bloody intensity yet light, dancing, vibrant. This doesn't seem like something to age much, but it has killer purity, depth and focus for such a young wine. Super tasty! NOTE: this was a Daily Drinkers selection courtesy of Justin Wells.
