I concur with tasting notes on the label - dark cherry on the front palate transitions to raspberry cream mid palate, silky elegant mouthfeel with slight nice tart acidity on the finish. Not a lot of nuance or complexity per se, but really nice fruit flavor. Nice wine and good value at $30 for Russian River Green Valley fruit. Can’t go wrong with this wine.

River Road Vineyards’ 2017 Stephanie's Cuvee Pinot Noir (SRP $29): Sourced from estate and family-owned vineyards in Green Valley of Russian River Valley, this pleasing Pinot delivers flavors of cherry cola, purple stone fruit, baking spice, and cedar box with touches of vanilla bean lingering on the finish. It’s medium-bodied and nicely balanced with a touch of grip on the back-end. I enjoyed it with meatloaf brushed with a red wine glaze and garlic mash (lovely match).

Ron Rubin Wines. Retail $30. Under screwcap. Green Valley of the Russian River Valley. Fruity (black cherry), rich, and a bit spicy on the nose, with plenty of fruit on the palate as well. Nice tartness, above-average acidity, and plenty of verve here. I think there are still some out there who are biased when they see a screw-top Pinot and assume that it must be, well, "lesser." Well, that is certainly not the case here. While few will confuse this with a Grand Cru Burgundy or even a single-vineyard from Argyle in Oregon, this certainly has oodles of merit. Very good to excellent. thedrunkencyclist.com

Checks the boxes but no complexity. Not very lively so recommend to drink now.

Very muted flavors, almost like it was watered down. Good length on the finish. It's okay, but I will not buy it again.
