  2017 Fairchild Wines: This is a great effort. Creme de cassis, stunning floral aromas, dark chocolate, spice box and earthy elements on the nose. The richest, most concentrated and full bodied of the 2017 wines, this shows excellent balance and fabulous purity. Lovely black and blue fruit interplay well with earthy notions, encapsulated by really fine grained tannins. There's good lift, nice acidity and a generous flavor profile. Definitely more angular than the 2016 edition, but relative to 2017, this wine has great depth. Nice long finish.
