Last vintage of this wine as the vines were pulled at 45 years of age. Golden coloured Chardonnay that has obvious oak influence. Slight pyroxene note with Granny Smith apples and a honeyed note On the palate, citrus notes with petroleum, and honeyed lemon zest. There is a nice weight to the wine. I am finding that it is already transitioning into secondary notes and has little fruit to offer still.

Ditto TheSternOwl’s comments below (only one bottle allocated to me too).
I too have the 2018 chard from Beta and enjoyed looking at my notes on both wines. It’s my understanding that the vines from this vineyard were pulled and this was the last from Chuy. 😩

Very solid chardonnay and very good value at $35. No rush to drink!

Really nice, lean and crisp. Should drink well for several more years.
