This bottle was round, somewhat rich, with creamy texture, right down the fairway, in terms of profile, a little classic and old-school and its elements. A solid wine for me, with more time for upside, and yet not a bottle I am running out to replace

A golden hue. Nose of white orchard fruit, hazelnut and some slightly more exotic fruit notes. Maybe a little over ripe. On the palate, nice density and texture, but a bit on the heavy side as I find a lot of the 2018s. Again, ripe orchard fruit and a touch of nuts, but with enough freshness and acid to give it lift in the midpalate. This is very tasty right now. I think good to drink now or over the next several years.

Tasted over 2 hrs -translucent pale yellow -sharp quinine and alcohol notes -barely med acidity creeps in at the finish, med weight not a lot of fruit but the sharp bitter quinine/alcohol note is prominent -not sure if this bottle is flawed or just a creature of the vintage but either way it is neither quintessential Meursault nor very pleasant; I lean toward flawed given Lafarge's history of making very good Meursault

Lovely Meursault; beautiful nose with orchard blossoms and rich orchard fruits, a hint of spice and crushed hazelnut. The palate is rich and full on; a bit heavier than I really want it to be, but just enough freshness to keep it together. This is my first Lafarge white, but I suspect the style is more driven by the vintage than intention. Overall really tasty, benefits from food. I'm not sure I'd try to push this too far on aging.

Visite au domaine Lafarge (mars 2020) (Au domaine): Une sélection de très vieille vignes que je goûtais pour la première fois. J'y trouve un vin plus profond, très rond et gourmand, fin et délicieux.
