Strong focus on the 'terroir', a good effort but a bit one dimensional. Considering the heat vintage a lot of freshness, the high altitude of the vineyard plays a huge role here.

The Amises should have a party (Our house): Drunk in the middle of a long inebriated session, and didn't make much of an impression. Certainly ready to drink now. Good balance and QPR.

Translucent ruby, with some bricking around the rim. Surprisingly evolved nose, with tertiary notes of leather alongside the red and black cherry fruit. On the palate, there is sweet red and black fruit - cherries and cranberry. Again, surprisingly evolved, with tertiary notes of leather and oak coming through. Drinking very well now, but on the evidence of this second bottle, 2017 not a keeper.

An elegant Chianti with bright cherry, dry meat rub, tasso cured meat and subtle florals on the nose — took a while to come alive. Lighter mouthfeel with some darker ripe berries.
I like it and there’s some elegance and class to it but it does feel slightly disjointed.

Lukt: mørke røde bær, modne kirsebær, krydderurt, litt anis, litt lær, litt skopuss, litt nøtt, støvpreg,
Smak: mørk frukt, grippy, men med avslepne tanniner, elegant, ikke tung, ganske lang
