  • Medium ruby color. Pronounced aromas of cherry, cranberry, cola, baking spices, and dried fruit. Medium acidity, alcohol and body. Pronounced flavors consistent with aromas. Long finish.

A different PN than what I remember from Martinelli. I remember their PNs as being light, bright and fruity. This one was more "spicy" and dark. Perhaps due to 6 years of age...?

  • Sulfur, cherry on the nose, sulfur blows off in short order leaving a nice note of saline and cherry, the palate is very similar, balanced a bit less extracted than previous vintages, acid balances this out on the end, there is a hint of brush intermingled as well. Excellent and different than other PN of the vintages. Day 2 was superb, smooth and less heat than in day 1; 94.
