Chilled and then a quick decant. Lovely light colour in the glass. Nose of rose hip, fresh tar, earth and some smoky bacon. Light and refreshing on the palate with some raspberries and a faint cigar finish. Really suppable yet complex Gamay, great by itself but also a perfect match with a simple mushroom pizza.

Tasted at their tasting room in Sebastapol. Lots of bright energy and fruit, and super light bodied. Kind of reminded me like a red version of a rose. Super quaffable, and I'd almost recommend serving slightly chilled or at least at cellar temperature. Can be enjoyed with or without food - would probably pair well with fresh red fruits. It seemed to be made in a style that encourages consumption within 1-2 years of release.

Super quaffable day drinking red, served slightly chilled. I wouldn’t consume it in any other fashion.
