Shows a good amount of bricking. Plenty of tea notes. Mushroom and earth. Little bit of cherry on the palate. Some tartness to the acidity. Fruit is still dense but there is clearly some oxidation here. Unlike my last bottle, this is drink much more advanced than I expected. It's not gone but it's very alive either. Threw a lot more sediment than you would expect. It also still had lots of tannin.

Darker than I expected. Cranberry and a mushroom thing that would’ve made me guess Oregon. Solid but something slightly funky that seemed off. Slight taint maybe.

More evolved now, having shed just a little of bottle weight it gained in earlier years. Has 2005's structure, so backbone here to go longer if you'd like. Typical, solid, drinkable, quality Burgundy - if you put away a case of this at $25 a bottle back on release smile when you see it in your cellar.

Good solid classic burgundy, ready to drink. Dark cherries and earth, but not wowing anyone with complexity or elegance.
