Shiny pale yellow with green tint. Citrus, green apple, white peach, white flowers, honeycomb and minerality. Long finish with residual sugar. Still tight and closed, but flavors started to emerge.
We paired it with 2020 vintage of same wine. 2020 was more sharp and mineral than 2019. 2019 in comparison was more round and less acidity. I preferred 2020 over 2019.

At Shunsai, East Brisbane. This wine opened with some cheesy primary ferment characters that blew off with time to reveal a quite closed nose of white peach, lime zest, yuzu and touches of white flowers and baking spice. The palate is quite linear and primary with complex fruit characters and plenty of grip and volume that persists beautifully. Time in the glass gives you a peek behind the curtain to reveal a wine in the infancy of its development.
