A very unsual Chardonnay from the Loire (in Touraine I believe) . The nose is grassy and acidic, very Sancerre like and you'd think this was a sauvignon blanc. However the taste is definitely Chardonnay, there is a sweetness but it's acidic and dry. If it had said it was a bland with Sauv blanc it wouldn't have surprised me. Very unusual, as far away from a Bourgogne Chardonnay as you can get. Great with fish and salads, even pizza!

Pleasant and uncomplicated, great for the price. Clean, unoaked, slight minerality to balance the floral, honeyed flavours.
