5/1/23 Thai and Riesling Study (Tum Nak Thai): Minty menthol nose with ripe stone fruit and cut herbs. Palate showing a slight herbaceous spiciness along with ripe yellow apples and orchard fruit, wet stone and minerality on the long finish. Good intensity and weight, just needs time to meld harmoniously as the fruit is still overly bright and slightly bitter. 91++

Tasted - and then retasted after more than a week in the fridge. It does not move, this is Grand vin indeed, salty, intense, notes of peach, vertical, precise with razor-blade acidity and a generous richness behind, Leave for five years. #podcast

Jasmine, clover, and irises on the nose. Stone fruit (peaches, nectarines), pumpernickel seed, mirabellen, wasabi on the luscious, elegant palate, with a sea salt, yeast, cherry pepper and basalt decay. Light in body, but infinitely complex, an Occam razor between Bürklin-Wolf classicism and von Winning creamy/fruity modernity. Like drinking a volcano of Mozart etudes.
