Color is dark red, not purple. Nose of cedar, blue berries and pencil shavings. Palate - interesting tingle on front of tongue. Blackberries, blueberry juice, tobacco. Long finish. Sweet tannins are velvety.

Way past its prime. Overripe cherry and banana flavor with smoky, meaty aroma. Went through the bottle over a 3 day span; glad I’m done with it! NI:3, FI:20, FC:5, B:3, L:3
Another Argentine wine this week. One-hour decant. Deep red in bowl, bright garnet on the rim. During decant, nose was subdued. After resting in the decanter, wine had a nose of burnt cherries, licorice and a little benzene overlay. In the mouth, wine was smooth, tannins all integrated. Stewed plums and raisins (almost like an old-style Christmas pudding) with a good dose of bitter chocolate and some licorice on the medium finish. Very pleasant wine. According to the label, wine was a blend of the two cabernets, merlot and petite verdot. This wine would stand up to a bolder dish though it was quite pleasant with steaks. I do not believe this wine is a candidate for any substantially longer storage. I will drink mine over the next year or so.
