Seattle Tasting Group does "American Bordeaux Varietals" (plus 1992-1997 Pahlmeyer Red) (Seattle, WA, USA): Deep gold color. Very leesy with marshmallow, nuttiness and a hint of paint thinner. On the palate this has incredible depth, lots of toast, and a very supple/silky texture. However, there is little minerality or fruit apart from some bitter lemon. The finish is long with searing acidity but a slightly bitter, burned element. I'm not sure if this is in a awkward phase or if the acid and toast will forever be ahead of the rest of this wine. (Group average 89.25)
