Eighteen months since I last had a bottle of this, and what an improvement. This is still an unapologetically dry Riesling. The acids are strong and deep. There is no flabby sweetness here. But the lemony harshness has softened and rounded. There is more character and more fruit—I get a lovely pear. Drinking very well now but I bet it evolves for years.

Prior bottle was a bit over 15 months ago and this wine continues to show quite well. Nose was virtually identical to prior bottle with lemon and pear along with a touch of apple as well as mineral qualities. Medium bodied with white peach upfront and apricot through the middle. There's good richness towards the backside with a bit more complexity than what my prior bottle showed, especially as it warms. Citrus and acidity through the finish show improved integration. Overall, while retaining its whitefruit character and brightness, this wine has opened up through the middle and is more complete through the finish. Needs time to open up as it showed its best after being open for almost 4 hours and warmed from 52 to 59F. Should continue to improve along these lines and like the '18 and '16 has a number of years left in front of it.

This was a “wow”! Pale straw in color with apricot and diesel on the nose. Oily and rich on the palate with apricot and lemon notes. Herbs and minerality on the finish. Only one bottle remains.

Powerful, mouthwatering acidity. Wow. Lots of grapefruit, citrus peel, limestone minerality, sea breeze. Just can't stop going back for another sip. Wonderful

Drinks more like a chard than a Riesling but good none the less.
