  • REally wish I had more of this - I thought it was spectacular. Went really well with a winter dinner. Fragrant, complex, balanced acidity and tannins. evolved over time. A real winner!

  • We had a glass of Hermitage 2007 and Gigondas 2004 with a toasted Brioche and Ceps. What followed even surprised Michel and Bastien Tardieu, the Gigondas was way superior! It was so perfumed and candied by dark chocolate that we all set it apart to see how it would evolve. Once we drank it its florality came through and we had a very fresh well made wine, high in acidity. T-L's parcel is 350m high up in the Dentelles de Montmirail and is made from 90% Grenache and the rest is Syrah. 92+points!

  • Nose over an hours time a mix of vanilla, fruit cake, lavender and dark cherries. Then thyme, chocolate, braised fig and melted liquorice, framed by a nice minerality. Palate, well balanced and smooth, medium weight, but good grip. The finale is dry, with bitter almonds and liquorice root. Good texture and mouth feel here - yum. Very nice. Drinkable now, but should keep well for 5 years+
