  • Château Yon-Figeac, Les Roches de Yon-Figeac, Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, 2018: . Deep purple in color. On the nose, medium-plus intensity with hints of Brettanomyces. Primary aromas of black and red fruits, including ripe blackberry, raspberry, with secondary notes of tobacco and vanilla, and some tertiary notes as well, such as wet earth and dried mushrooms. Dry, medium body, medium flavor intensity, high alcohol, with a juicy texture on the palate. Primary notes of ripe blackberries and jammy red cherries, followed by black olives, secondary flavors of tobacco leaves, with medium acidity and medium tannins that gently coat the mouth with secondary notes of dark chocolate and tertiary notes of dried mushrooms that linger long on the peppery finish. 14% Abv. Approachable and ready now but can age further. Drink now-2028, maybe longer. 91
