Lovely, a brightness to the fruit that I associate with recent Tollot-Beaut, but distinct browning in colour and more advanced than I expected. Drink over next couple of years.

(Tollot-Beaut Savigny-lès-Beaune Champs Chevrey) Medium, medium-plus cherry-red. Wide, sweet and interesting on the rather yummy nose. There’s plenty of grainy tannin, but it doesn’t overwhelm the lovely fruit background that slides slowly into a good, less obviously creamy and oak inflected finish than the 1er Lavières. I almost always like this cuvée and here’s another to add to the list!

Very nice, more developed vs 3 years ago with more mushroom and sous-bois on the nose, receding fruit but still lively and tasty.

Tonight's bottle was spot on. I previously felt this was ageing too fast, but this bottle was holding fine.
