Almost every vintage tastes exactly the same. This one seems to be not that stressed by the sun like the ones from 2003, 2004 and 2005. Fine quality with very good QPR.

Like a fake barolo - celeery, licorice, and cherries on the nose. Plums, cherries, and a little licorice on the palate. Comes close but doesn't quite hit the target.

Nice surprise in this very inexpensive IGT. Nose is of wet stone, bright cherries, and plums. Light to medium bodied, with flavors that mirror that of the nose. A remarkable depth of flavor for a very young wine that goes for under $10. As I am trying to get more into Italian wines, I think that this one will be a great everyday Italian (not to steal the term from Giada). I think this would go really great with informal Italian fare like pizza or a bowl of spaghetti and meatballs.

Nondescript. Nothing special, but drinkable.
