Acker Auction - May 2019 (Zuma in NYC): Brought by a friend to be a wine that pairs a bit better with Zuma fare. And that was true. It was nice and fresh. Sometimes I react to the petrol in old rieslings, but that wasn't true here at all. Very nice and lightly sweet and tasty.

Dark yellow. This was broad and rich with not quite enough acidity to really balance it. Enjoyable but a little straightforward.

Much fresher than the Rausch (of the same year) and surprisingly with better acids than the '93 Rausch spatlese - still kickin'...

Schatzkammer Tasting--German Rarities (Dee Vine Wines, San Francisco): Healthy yellow color for age. Subtle, laid back nose. Rich for the Saar, but the fruit and sweetness are subdued. Clearly mature. Not fading in the least, but not terribly interesting either.
