Enjoying my recent discovery of these Chidaine wines. I probably should try some of these cuvées side by side as I am not sure I will remember to compare. So enjoyable pnp and with air. Didn’t make it to day 2 but I suspect it would have been even better. Classic Chenin profile, mostly dry but a hint of sweetness. Great complexity at such a young age and so versatile for food.

More pronounced Chenin notes to it. Lots and lots of dry extract again, a little bit more RS to it, so I prefer the Choisilles, but there is absolutely nothing not to like in these wines. Wonderful.

I really cut back my purchases of Chidaine wines after a string of bad 2014’s. This bottle reminded me of why I started buying these in the first place, I think with the 2008 or 2010 vintage. There is a hint of sweetness here, yet the acidity offsets it nicely. Classic Chenin flavors. A very nice wine that paired well with some Tai curry dishes. I will reload, though I won’t go as deep as I used too.

This was my favorite wine of the tasting, I think, based first of all on its delightful nose! The aroma hinted at the residual sugar, with a honeyed, syrupy quality evident, as well as notes of beeswax and hay. At 20g R/S, this was the driest of Chidaine's "tendre" category -- so, off-dry, though maybe it only seemed that way because of the high acid. Another taster described the palate perfectly: "Jasmine honey over red grapefruit." Really well-integrated. I'll buy a bottle of this for sure.
